Nisqually Wildlife Refuge
A beautiful wetlands area at the southern end of the Puget Sound, just outside of Olympia. There are lots of trails, including boardwalk trails that go out to the middle of the delta!

Summer is the perfect time to check out this volcanic peak near Seattle. Beautiful views and hiking to be had.

Olympic National Park
On the Olympic Peninsula, northwest of Olympia, and filled with mountains and temperate rainforest. A must-not-miss destination if you're in the area.
